"Days like these........" - Dusty Attic Moodboard Inspiration / 49andMarket DT

A huge warm welcome and thank you for joining me here.
This project was made for both my Design Team work at 49andMarket and the Dusty Attic. I have to say I feel like the luckiest girl in the world being able to create with such wonderfully gorgeous quality products. Thank you to these great ladies for always believing in me!
So this project was inspired by the most beautiful of moodboards over at the Dusty Attic this month. The instant I saw it I knew exactly just what I was going to create. Can you guess.............? Yes of course a beachside layout, my most favourite things of all to create. I so enjoyed every single moment of this creative process. This has been titled............

"Days like these................."

I have used 49andMarket's beautiful Scents of Nature to capture the beauty of a seaside adventure, my son and our dogs experienced a couple of years ago at our favourite holiday getaway.

The bonus sheet you will find on the reverse of the cover sheet of Scents of Nature was my background piece used for this project. And below Beauty Abound was used for tearing and matting sections of my project.

I also used lots and lots of beautiful 49andMarket Shimmer and Shine handmade flowers. They were a perfect match for my seaside project. I used these along with seashells and some seasponge and also a little driftwood that were discovered on our holiday trip. I love to add these little bits and pieces. It for me makes it all that more authentic.

I have used lots and lots of Dusty Attic chipboard goodies to embellish my layout with as you can see above. I took inspiration from the moodboard and used a seahorse from the mini Seashells chipboard pack. This was dressed in Distress Ink and Distress Crackle. The large chains were simply inked with Distress Ink Walnut Stain and the chipboard strip quote was primed with gesso inked with Rusty Hinge and Walnut Stain and whilst they were still wet I generously covered it with Distress Crackle to enhance the colours.

The Ship Steering Wheel which you see below was  coloured with a mixture of Distress Inks again enchance with the addition of Distress Crackle. The edges were inked over with a little more Walnut Stain Ink.

My background page was created using the new release Fleur De Lis Dusty Attic stencil. I created textures using Crackle Paint. I also did some colouring of the background using watered down Rusty Hinge Distress Ink with a paintbrush. To create a little more texture I also added in small and large Art Stones with some 3D gloss gel.

The chipboard Dodads were dressed up with White Crackle Paint. Once it was fully dried I wiped it over with a little Walnut Stain around the edges to highlight it.

And from another view.

Well that is all I have for you today.Thank you so much for joining me here today.
Until next time take care and happy scrapping.

"Adore" Maja Designs DT creation

Hello and welcome Maja followers!

Tina Ollett with you here today to share my next Maja Design Team creation. Last time I was here I shared something a little rustic /country, so this time around I have decided on something Shabby Chic to showcase this gorgeous photo of my two girls.

And what better collections to use to create this with, but the ever gorgeous
Vintage Spring Basics and the Vintage Summer Basics.

Just perfect to create that pretty shabby page.
This I have titled "Adore".........

I used the Vintage Spring Basics 7th of May as my background page but I firstly cut a photo mat from the centre to save on paper. I then layered torn Vintage Summer Basics 1922 and the Vintage Springs Basics 4th of May over this. When creating shabby layouts I like to leave large areas of the white paper core to give it an complete border and it also saves on sanding or inking.

Here you can see the layered torn papers and above that the photo mats with distressed and sanded edges.

I have layered over the top of the background page two sections of lace. I have run a piece of seam binding through the top piece of the lace and I tied it in a bow at the right side of the photo where it hangs to hold the chipboard title "Adore". This chipboard piece was simply dressed in gesso and Liquid Pearls was swiped across and around the edges to highlight the titled.

I love to create flower clusters, and this one was no exception. I used leftovers from many of my flower baskets that sit under my desk. They were all whitewashed with gesso to keep in with the shabby chic design. To complete the layout I added in some Kaisercraft paper leaves, a Dusty Attic frame which was dressed in Platinum Liquid Pearls and cut into several pieces and also a little cheesecloth.

Well that is all from me today. I hope you have enjoyed popping by. Until next time, take care and happy crafting.
