"Smile" - Design Team creation for The Scrapbook Store

Welcome back once more. I've been a little quiet this past week as I have been busy with school holidays and generally renewing my creative juices by getting out into my garden. As strange as it seems this is what I need to do to recharge my batteries...a little hedging, pruning and lawn mowing!
Anyway once I had finished I was fully refreshed and ready to scrap again.
This is my last layout for this month using the "Infused" collection from Authentique. I have totally enjoyed this collection. This is probably my favourite! I hope you like it!

"Smile"

I love this photo of my gorgeous little niece......although she is not so little anymore! It was the perfect photo to co-ordinate with these papers.

I have simply cut the strips into 1cm sections and then cut them down randomly and adhered them working my way down the page.

I have used the tags from the Authentique Elements Sticker Sheet. Some of them I have painted the edges and then coated them with a little Dusty Attic Crackle Varnish.

The chipboards were both dressed with the three Dusty Attic acrylic paints listed below. Whilst they were still wet I sprinkled some sprinkles and then coated them with a little Dusty Crackle Varnish.

Well I so hope that you enjoyed your visit here today. Thank you so very much for popping by.
Until next time.

Happy Scrapping.

"Favourite Memory" is my next DT creation for The Scrapbook Store

A huge hello and happy holidays to all those who are currently on school holidays. I loooooove school holidays....no getting up early , although I still do ........staying in my p.j's for as long as I like. The silence because my three love nothing better than to sleep in....yay!!!
Well enough chitter chatter.....today I have my next DT creation for The Scrapbook Store.

"Favourite Memory"......

I know that some of you may have seen this photo used by me before , but you know it still remains a favourite of mine and I just love it. My youngest throwing a little tantie!
I still am unsure what lead to it and I am even more unsure why I would have insisted on taking the photo......but I love it nevertheless. Something for her to look back on and have a giggle about.

So I decided on doing a lot of layering here, only to minimize the intensity of the pink.

I have also used a lot of stamping which I sometimes hold back on.

I also added in a few of the Authentique Elements from the sticker sheet. I firstly inked the edges of them with a little Distress Black Soot and then curled them.

I have used some most beautiful cream border lace which I randomly cut down the middle and layered it either side underneath the photo with layers of Authentique torn patterned papers and a little torn cardstock also. I then gessoed over various sections and then stamped with two different acrylic stamps.

Had to add in a few drips over the brick wall chippies that were dressed with a little Cosmos Glimmermist and Silver Liquid Pearls.

So don't forget I have listed all the materials needed for this layout down below.....just keep scrolling!
All materials used are available here at The Scrapbook Store.

Thank you so much for visiting me here today. I hope you have enjoyed your visit.
Until next time .......happy scrapping.

"Harmony" - Fabulicious Design Team creation for Fabscraps

Hello my friends. Today I have the second of my Fabulicious Design Team creations for Fabscraps. I am currently creating with the Tranquility collection which has a fabulous array of patterns and embellishing pieces. So very much to choose from in this collection.

I love this photo of my eldest daughter taken with our then 5 month old puppy "Gru"....so called after the children's movie character from "Despicable Me". Tough looking exterior but soft as butter on the inside and full of love is our Gru or (Grooooby) as I call him. This was taken on one of our getaways to the beautiful coast! Can't wait to get back there only a few more weeks to wait.

I decided on doing some fussy cutting from Fabscraps Tranquilty - Flirty Floral to start off.
I then moved on to stamping these floral images using a grey ink on to some Misty Floral and Gentle Flowers. These were then all fussy cut too, then mounted.

The background patterned paper French Grey (love my polka dots) was gessoed, sanded and then trimmed and layered on to another piece of Gentle Flowers patterned paper. I did a little stenciling and prepared my Fabscraps Chipboard DC75012 (Flower Circle) piece with a little gesso and ink and then some crackle accents.

And funny thing cleaning my youngest daughters room whilst creating with this collection was that I came across these sequins in her crafting box.......something I had not considered using before but it was screaming out for me to use them....much to my daughters disgust!!

The Fabscraps Chipboard Title ST75002 (Tranquil Circular Words) was simply inked and then dressed with dimensional magic and a little glitter!

Well that's all for me until next time.....so happy scrapping and I hope you have a fabulicious weekend.

"A Moment to Treasure" - created for The Scrapbook Store

Hello and welcome once more. Today I have my next design team creation for The Scrapbook Store
As I previously mentioned my collection this month is the "Infused" collection from Authentique. Absolutely gorgeous colours in this range. And so I was able to do my favourite combo of pink and green with some subtle highlights of yellow.

I have used a quite much older photo of my youngest from our days living in a small mining community in North Queensland. Living in Moranbah was a fantastic time for the kids growing up. And this little creek called the Grosvenor was our little getaway place on Sunday afternoons. The kids loved nothing better than to take their nets down looking for redclaw but more often than not the most they caught were snagged nets.
I have titled this layout "A Moment to Treasure".

I have used a couple of chipboard frames dressed in crackle texture paste , paints and clear crackle with a little star dust stickles. Both frames have been layered on top of several other layers of frame enhancements.

The title and Blue Fern Studio chipboards have all been dressed with liquid pearls and layered amongst a gorgeous lace motif along with a few other lace leaves.

Another close-up.

And another......

And another.....here you can see some stenciling I have done with a little modelling paste and distress paints.

Well that's all from me today. I so hope you have enjoyed your visit here today. And as always I have a complete list of materials used for this layout below.....just keep scrolling.

Until next time take care and hugs and thank you so much for visiting me here again.

"Love" created for the Dusty Attic September Mood Board

Hello and welcome back.
Today I am very excited to be sharing with you my very first creation for Dusty Attic.
I have used Dusty Attic's September Mood Board for Inspiration. This challenge has an amazing $100 gift voucher prize for the winner. Can you imagine how much chipboard you can buy with that?.......makes my heart skip a beat thinking about it!
So all you need do is to simply create a little something using the September Mood Board for Inspiration (below) and some Dusty Attic chipboards. When complete add your link to the right side bar of the Dusty Attic blog.

This is my interpretation of the mood board ......"Love".
This photo was only taken on the weekend by chance. My youngest daughter just dotes on both of our furbabies every chance she gets. So to scrap this beautiful photo of her and our gorgeous Rafael was a real treat.

I simply started by layering my page with torn pieces of patterned papers and fussy cut collage cards along with some pretty doilies to soften the page a little more. I started out with the Vintage Nameplate and cut it in half and layered it top and bottom of the photo.

All my chipboard pieces were dressed with a couple of coats of gesso and then sanded back just enough to give a shabby distressed look.

I also rubbed the chipboard pieces over with a little ink and some sparkly stardust stickles to make them shine.

The Dusty Attic French Flourish Border was cut into segments glued and wrapped with twine around a couple of straws that were dressed similarly. I also adhered in a piece from the Decorative Scroll #2 to the centre top of the framework......almost looks like a handle!

Well I hope you have been inspired to create something for this months Mood Board Challenge. You have until the end of the month to create something and upload it to the blog.

Until next time.....happy Scrapping.

"Love this Attitude" - Design Team creation for The Scrapbook Store

Welcome once more to my blog.
Today I am sharing a Design Team creation for The Scrapbook Store. This month I am using the "Infused" collection from Authentique. A very pretty collection of papers with enhancement cards and a sticker sheet full of  alphas, tags, frames and other little emphemera bits.
So when I think pretty I think girly photos with a beautiful smile.........well usually but not today!
I decided on a photo that always puts a smile on my dial. My youngest at a very cute milestone.......but one that saw a fair bit of sassy attitude.
So without further ado I present.......

 "Love this Attitude"

Suzanne was very generous in her little goodies box for me this month and included some very new Dusty Attic Fantasy Flowers. These are really so cute and of course they matched perfectly with the top my daughter is wearing in this photo.

A close-up of a cluster with the Fantasy Flowers. To dress these I simply stamped some white cardstock with a script stamp and glue to the back of the painted flowers. I then cut them out and shaped them before the adhesive dried completely.

And of course I used more than just the Fantasy Flower chipboards. I have amazingly used quite a lot of chipboards here! These foliage pieces would have to be my favourite at present. These have been painted, embossed, inked and then dressed with crackle accents.

The Prima Flowers Trims you can see here have been spritzed with Glimmermist and a pink pearl added to the centre.

Well that's is all from me today....but stay tuned there is lots more to come this month.
Take care and until next time happy scrapping.
