"Love Always" - Dusty Attic Project for September (2 x Canvas)

Welcome back  and wonderful to see you back here.
I have something a little different for me today which I hope you are going to love.
"Love Always"
is my Design Team project for the Dusty Attic for November.
I have used some beautiful new and not so new chipboards that are more than gorgeous. What can I say I looooooove my Dusty Attic Chippies!!

This started out to be one canvas and by accident turned into two! And by accident I mean when I was taking my chipboards from the pack they dropped out in such a way that it looked like a heart. So I decided I needed a second canvas to create the heart shape. From there I went with a romantic soft feel. I hope you enjoy these as much as I did creating them. They were lots of fun!

I had a couple of smallish canvas sitting on my desk that had been previously primed and textured......all I needed to do was add my chippies and colour!
These were my Dusties that I have used for my canvases.

Corner Swirl #1

My new fave! This was simply dressed with Silver Liquid Pearls and then when dried I dry brushed a little gesso over the top.

Dusty Attic Marrakesh Trellis Small
Now this is an old favourite of mine. I chose to imbed it into the texture crackle paste on my canvas. I added more texture over the top along with some micro beads.

Dusty Attic Word Pack #19

I have used the word "love" from the above pack and the word "Always" from the pack below. These were both dressed with Liquid Pearls Juniper and Silver.

"Cuddles" Dusty Attic Moodboard Project Design Team Creation September

Hello and a big warm welcome to you.
I'm here with you today to share my Dusty Attic inspired creation using the September Moodboard. This month's board is absolutely amazing with pure gorgeous blue and brown tones. It is a truly stunning board, take a look for yourself below. Remember you have until the end of the month to enter. Just be sure to use a little Dusty Attic Chipboard on your project to be eligible to win a $100 worth of Dusty Attic goodies.

SEPTEMBER 2016 MOOD BOARD

And my interpretation of the moodboard........ "Cuddles"

I was downloading photos from my phone yesterday and come across this photo of my youngest with  our furbaby Rafael. It is such a cute photo that I just had to use it. I changed it up with Sepia tones using photoshop and reduced the size of the photo to fit the Dusty Attic frame.

I have used the gorgeous new release Antique Frames for my project. I dressed them both with Gesso and then some Texture Crackle Paste. They were then randomly inked with Ground Espresso Distress Ink . To intensify the ink I added some Distress Crackle and left it to dry.

The smaller of the two frames were cut in half lengthways to allow them to go further. And the smaller frame on the right was cut again to elongate and hold the large flower cluster.

I have used 49andMarket's Vintage Artistry "Tattered" for my background paper and to create some more texture I added Dusty Attic's Texture Paste through the Creative Script Stencil. I have also used some Twinkling H2O's to add more colour to the background and my flower clusters.

I have used the word "Cuddles" from the Dusty Word Pack #11. I absolutely adore the font on these chippies. I have simply dressed the the chipboard with liquid pearls to help it pop off the flower cluster.

"Special" Guest Designer for Maja Design - September 2016

Hello and welcome. Today I have a little exciting news to share with you. I was asked by the lovely Camilla from Maja Design to contribute as Guest Designer for September. I feel extremely honoured to have been considered for this. And for those that know me and my style.....Maja Design suits me down to the ground. So with my beautiful beautiful goodies box I chose the Nyhavn collection. The softeness of these papers cried out to be used with photos that have a beautiful memory attached. This is a photo of my gorgeous daughter with my eldest brother. He really is the biggest kid!! Whenever my kids are around him they continually pester him for piggy back rides!
This is one of those times that I happened to have the camera out.

I have titled this "Special"......
I hope you enjoy it!

I used Maja's Nyhavn "Strolling along the Canal" for my background piece only adding a little stencilling with texture paste and a sprinkling of silver embossing powder.

I also used Nyhavn's Romantic Lunch b side as my matting. It has been torn and jigsawed together creating a diamond shape over which I then layered two matted black and white photo's. I sanded the photos and matting pieces and coloured the edges with a little of Dusty Attic's Sugar Plum acrylic paint.

My other Dusty Attic chipboards have been either heat embossed in silver or dressed in White Crackle Paste with a wash of watered down Sugar Plum acrylic paint and a little gesso.

Pearls have been added to the pendants and flower centres and I have also sprinkled in some silver Prills to highlight the Baroque Corners which I have faced back to back and placed under the photos.

And another view of the flower cluster full of Prima Marketing Inc. goodies.

I have so enjoyed working with these papers and I really think you will too!!

"Sparkle" 49andMarket Design Team Creation - September

Hello and welcome.
I am back today to share my latest creation using 49andMarket’s newest collection,Heirloom Botanicals.……….stunning and gorgeous are only a couple of words that come to mind. Each sheet is jammed packed of simply beautiful colourings of purple and orange shadings.

As always my first point of call was to cut some of the elements from the Heirloom Cut Out Sheet. I have cut all of the clocks and the cute birdhouse along with some of the flowers and also the branches. Each of the clocks were dressed with Distress Crackle and allowed to dry and crack before I coloured them with a little Twinkling H2O’s .The base paper, Harmony was dressed with texture paste through a Dusty Attic stencil. It was also coloured using Twinkling H2O’s Plum Blossom and Chiffon Pink.

I have matted the sanded photo with layers of distressed Harmony and Faded Blooms. Some have been torn and also sanded.

I have co-ordinated my layout with 49andMarket’s new line of Basic’s Multi Flowers. Oh my goodness that are just divine. I couldn’t put enough on my layout. For my layout here I used the colours Melon and Lavender.

Dusty Attic chippies have been used as additional embellishments for the page. They have all been dressed with Liquid Pearls Onyx Pearl and Pink Petal. Some have also been coloured with gesso and more Twinkling H2O’s. And once they were all dried I also wiped over more sparkles by adding on some Star Dust Stickles.

And from another view.........how cute is this birdhouse cut from the 49andMarket Cut Out sheet.
