"Because of you....." Maja Design DT Creation (November)

Hello and welcome. Today I would like to share with you a layout created for my gorgeous daughter Ashlea who in the past few weeks has been battling some challenges. She inspires me every day with her beautiful nature and funny little ways. I am so proud to call her my daughter. This is for you Ashlea....love you to the moon and back!

"Because of you........"

This is my newest creation for Maja Designs using the Vintage Summer Basics collection. Let me tell you though there simply nothing basic about this collection. These papers are full of gorgeous vintage detail....right up my alley! Love them love them love them.

I have used the most of these gorgeous papers layering up a matting foundation for my photo. These papers are of the highest quality that distressing them brings out that gorgeous core that I love to use to highlight the layers rather than inking.

I have even used a little of the Vintage Basics 1905 to frame my photo. I distressed and tore the framework and then added a little of Dusty Attic's new Stitching chipboard to highlight the framework. It was torn and added randomly to give my layout that worn look.

You can see the stitching chipboard a little more clearly here......awesome effect!!

And amoungst my largest cluster I have added in some Dusty chipboard foliage, a skeleton clock and a scrabble piece for good measure along with some beautiful Prima Marketing Flowers.

You can see this gorgeous Dusty Attic frame. I cut it in two and layered it around the left bottom of the layout to support the large cluster. I have also added in some Art Stones and cheesecloth to soften the layout.

I have also used the Vintage Autumn Basics Clock Sheet to add a little more interest to my page. It was cut sanded and dressed with Walnut Stain ink and Distress Crackle Paint. Unfortunately this photo does not show the gorgeous crackle over the clock but you can see the Crackles from the Crackle Paste over the chipboard above.....love the effect!

Because of you, I laugh a little harder,
Cry a little less and smile a little more.

A beautiful sentiment from the newest of Gabrielle Pollacco's stunning designer stamps collections for 49andMarket. I am a sucker when it comes to all things sentimental. When I read this quote on Gabi's Hibiscus I put it to the side for that something special. And this is one of those layouts.

"IV" Maja Designs Moodboard Creation - November

Good morning to you! I am up early again this morning to put finishing touches on my Maja Moodboard inspired layout. A lot of you that may know me and my funny little ways, may know that I find it hard for some explainable reason to scrap Christmas layouts!! So yet again when presented with Christmas themed papers I have put a twist on it. As you will see, the new "I wish" collection from Maja Designs can really loan itself to almost anything. I went with a vintage style layout to showcase this very cute photo of my youngest a few years back doing a little butterfly catching in our backyard. I hope you enjoy this!

I wish you happy holidays bs

I wish those memories would last

Vintage Autumn Basics No XVI

As you can see above I have done a lot of layering with my papers and embellishments. My gorgeous Dusty chipboards here have been dressed in gold embossing powder and then inked with a little Walnut Stain to give that added touch of vintage elegance.

And from another view......

And these Dusty Cameo Ribbon Slides I absolutely adore. Perfect fit for the clock faces to sit upon!

I have used lots n lots of pretties from Prima Marketing Inc. I have toned some down using a little or a lot of Gesso.

....................................

This gorgeous large Baroque frame was cut apart and spread out on the layout in two parts. It was dressed in Crackle Texture Paste and randomly embossed with gold powder to highlight section of the frame that were lost amongst the layout.

Baroque Frame Set - Circle - DA0542

I love this view of my layout. So many embellies is what I love!!! These cute little Kraft tags I picked up at my local $2 store. I have whitewashed these with gesso and then randomly inked in Walnut Stain. The little clocks were cut from the gorgeous Maja Designs Vintage Autumn Basics collection.

The clock faces were dressed in Walnut Stain Distress Ink then covered with a good amount of Distress Crackle.

If you are looking for a full materials list I have done so for you below, just keep scrolling.
Well that is all from me today. I am off to do another Maja Design something a lot more vintage I am hoping. I will surprise you.
Take Care

"There is only one happiness" 49andMarket DT Creation - November

Welcome back!!

I'm back today here with you to share with my newest layout for 49andMarket.
I have once again used the gorgeous Heirloom Botancials collection! I really can't get enough of this collection.

"There is only one happiness"

2016-11-12-there-is-only-one-happiness-025

My usual routine during the week is to sit and watch my children at their extra curricular activities, one of them being Takewondo. And whilst I am watching I am also fussy cutting. My friends sit along side me and envy the papers and all that come with them. So this is how this layout come about. My starting point was made sitting at Taekwondo. During this couple of hours I had cut all my elements and the placement was all made without a desk.

Once home I then start the layering process. And this time around I decided to use 49andMarket's gorgeously beautiful Garden Vines which you can see above amongst the fussy cut elements.

2016-11-12-there-is-only-one-happiness-013

Amongst all the layering, vines and fussy cut elements I have added in a little moss and some Kraft Dice to keep it interesting.

I have also added in this beautiful Sentimental Word Strip from Dusty Attic along with the "Love" title. These were both dressed in Blush embossing powder and inked with Distress Ink black soot.

The Garden Vines have been cut up and reorganised to suit my page. I added in a little dry brushing of white gesso to highlight areas of my background and flowers after everything was adhered.
