"Best Friends" Dusty Attic Moodboard Inspiration / Maja Design DT Creations

Hello and welcome back. Today I have a combined DT creation to share with you. I have titled this project ...."Best Friends"...........

For this project I have used a favourite photo of my youngest daughter with our chocolate labrador Rafael. They are besties and when he is not shadowing my every move he can be found with Cydne in the backyard playing around.

Above you will see this months moodboard for The Dusty Attic. Gorgeous isn't it? When I looked at this project I was immediately smitten with the lighting at the bottom middle of the board. Yellow's and browns always seem to catch my attention. So I went with this........
As I said before this is a combined DT creation. Maja Designs was my second Design Team that I was using also. I went on the hunt for papers to use and I didn't have to look far at all. For this project I combined Coffee in the Arbour with Vintage Spring Basics and Vintage Autumn Basics and found that they worked so perfectly together!

My base papers are those from Maja Designs. I have used Vintage Spring Basics and Coffee in the Arbour collections to create my background. I also did a little stenciling using the Dusty Attic Clockworks #2 Stencil.

I did lots of layering of the torn papers from Maja along with 49andMarkets flowers and of course the following Dusty Attic chipboards. Some of these have been in my stash for a bit and never used. One of them was the French Window Pane. This was cut diagonally in two and separated to give the impression that it is a lot bigger than it actually is. It was simply dressed with Walnut Distress Ink and a little gesso to highlight the edges in places. You can see the top half of it in the above photo and the bottom half of it below.

I also added in some sections of lace along with Dusty Attic Elegant Swirls #13. These were dressed in some gorgeously soft platinum Liquid Pearls and added in layers amoungst the papers and lace. And of course the flowers...... I used a pack of the Vintage Shades along with a few of the Mudlslide Florals to help with my layering and to make it just so pretty!

I have also added in a couple of paper moulds that I made a few weeks ago to add to my clusters. And of course some more Dusty goodness. This time around I added in some Heart Arrows#2 moving vertically down my page to give it a little movement. Around one of these arrows I placed a circular charm that I found in a wonderful little village market on our trip to Taiwan in May. It is just beautiful. It has the engraved words Dream Hope Trust Love which fits with this project so well. And amongst all these goodies I added in some bronze beads to give it a little more colour.

Well that is all from me today. I hope you find some time for yourself  this week to be creative.
Happy Creating and until next time take care. xo

"Little Memories" 49andMarket / Dusty Attic - August

Hello and welcome back.
Today I have my next 49andMarket combined with my Dusty Attic Design Team creation to share with you today. I decided to use a paper sheet from the 49and Market collection of Cottage Life to as my background page for this project. I am usually for the most part a A side girl. But boy this collection delivers on each and every side.
For this layout I have used only one sheet of the gorgeous Cottage Life collection and focused more on the embellishments from 49andMarket and some yummy new release Dusty Attic chipboards.

This has been titled "Little Memories" ..........

I have used Garden Seeds as my background page and dressed it with some medias to darken the edges and bring the papers to the Dusty Attic chipboards that were dressed similarly.

I used some laid some textures on the background with my favourite Dusty Attic Script Stencil and some splatterings of Higgins Super White Ink.

I have added in lots n lots of these new gorgeous gorgeous flowers. They are just stunning and I am so looking forward to using more and more of them in the upcoming weeks. Oh and the leaves and branches and all of the added bits in pieces in each pack are just awesome.

I have also used one lonesome butterfly from the Vintage Artistry Cut - Outs paper.
Also for this I have added in some pieces of the Burlap Trim. It has been a long time since using burlap but I so love using it . I like to distress it to give it a very worked and worn look as you can see below.

Here you can see more of the colouring that I have added to the background page.

And some clustering of the gorgeous 49andMarket blooms. Love them!!!!

The added foliage pieces in the packs completes layout perfectly.

Well that is all from me today. I hope you have enjoyed my project here today. Remember tomorrow we have more inspiration for you !!
Until then take care.

"This very moment......" 49andMarket Design Team Creation

Hello and welcome back. Today I have a little something that I created with the gorgeously new Cottage Life collection from 49andMarket

This project has been titled ........."This very moment......"

Living in such a beautiful country and living in rural area allows us many comforts and previleges, one of them having chickens. Last November I was lost for ideas for a birthday present for my youngest daughter who was turning 12. And low and behold I had an epiphony..... and let me tell you that does not happen often. So the day before her birthday (nothing like organisational skill might I add) I went in the search of young chicks as I had decided this would allow time for my husband to build a coop and so on and so forth. I also had in my mind that I would only purchase 3. Well that was not to be ! I came home with 6 !!!! But I believe to this day that it is by far the best of presents I have ever given her. The sheer delight in her eyes when she opened the very warm box of cheaping noises was something I will treasure forever and ever. Whilst the photo I used is not of the chickens as babies it is of her most favourite !

So the instant I saw this collection with the chickens on the cut out sheet ....... well there really was no turning back. Below are the gorgeously beautiful patterned papers that I used to create this project from the Cottage Life collection. I think you will agree that are just stunning. In real life they are just AMAZING, like no other collection I have ever laid my eyes on before.

Garland was my starting point and I used two sheets of this. One for my background and the second for the extra fussy cut elements that I layered on my page.

I also used the Cottage Cut - Outs to add more layering to my project. I have used the basket and the chickens on my layout from this sheet.

CL-86462 Cottage Life - Rooster Row
And of course Rooster Row. This I have used for again the fussy cut elements but also for the Striped background. I love adding strips to my pages and layering them up. You can see how I have done this in the close-up photos below.

I have also added in some Dusty Attic chipboard pieces that I have crackled and coloured with inks. I also dressed the chipboards with a little Dress My Craft Sparkling Dust to add a touch of prettiness to the page.

Well that is all from me today. I hope you have enjoyed my project and seen what you can do with just papers and layering of fussy cut elements from them! I will be back tomorrow with another project for you !
