"Sparkle" 49andMarket / Dusty Attic DT creation / May

Welcome Dusty friends and a very Happy Mothers Day ! And because it is Mother's Day I wanted to create a project with a photo that I took of my gorgeous eldest only last week. She has grown into the most beautiful young lady both inside and out. And as a mum I couldn't be prouder of her and all my children. But this moment at her high school formal last week truly took my breath away.

My inspiration for this layout was of course the photo, but I also used the beautiful Dusty moodboard for this month. When I first looked at the colours of this moodboard I was very undecided as to what I would do, but after some time procrastinating my project grew. Doing moodboards and challenges I find really puts me in a place where I sometimes need to go.

This project has been titled "Sparkle".....

I have reverted back to an older collection "Scents of Nature". I used two of the same pieces called Hold on Me. This would have to be one of the prettiest of the papers from this particular collection. I have used it before. So to reinvent a paper is always a challenge for me.

On my background page I did layering of some beautiful lace that my bestest crafty buddy gave to me a little while back. And luckily for me she gave me a huge bundle. So I wasn't too worried about using lots. Once my layering was glued down with some 3D gel I then did some spritzing using Gold Foil Color Bloom. It is a fantastic gold, perfect for this project. My large Dusty Attic Decorative Frame #2 and title "Sparkle" was also spritzed with this same spray. I let the chipboard dry and then coated these pieces with my Dusty Attic Crackle Varnish.

You can see the effect of the crackle over the spray mist below on the title word "sparkle".

My second piece of Hold on Me was used to mat my photo. I added in lots and lots more layers of yummy gorgeously beautiful blooms. I have at the moment a little of an obsession with the Cerise colour in the Vintage Shades. It is a spectacularly gorgeous vintage red.  So I used a couple of packs to create my large cluster going across my photo. I added in also some of the leaves from my other packs along with a little muslin to help soften my layout.

And from another view. Here you can see the flowers in their differing shades.  I also decided to add in a little more foliage in the form of of course.... chipboards. I dressed a whole packet of these foliage pieces with ColourArte Nutmeg H20's. I love layering the H2O's on thickly and heatsetting them, making the H2O's bubble. I also did a little stamping and some transparency work using Gabi's new Ornate Stamp. I used a white embossing powder to create the transparencies of the windows and corner frame.

And that is all from me for today.
Thank you for popping by. I will see you back here again very soon.
Until then take care.
