"Escape" - 49andMarket / Dusty Attic Sea and Sand Collection

Welcome back. As promised I have a beach themed layout for you designed of course with the gorgeous 49andMarket Sand and Sea collection. On the weekend my daughter and I made a quick visit to the beach to find some waves which made for an enjoyable time for her to do some boogey boarding. And so this is what I have done with one of the many photos I took on Sunday gone. And what better collection to use to design my photo around but Sand and Sea.

I decided to go with a softer colour this time around and use the reds from this collection. I have to tell you I struggled to get my head around not using blues, but as the layout came along I really started liking my colour choice. In every collection pack you will find an extra sheet that is on the back of the cover sheet. I am always so drawn to them that I have used this one too! I cut the framing of B side away and used Creatures on top to create a frame for my layout.  I used Beach this way cut into strips and layered across the page. Down Under B was used for my matting of the photo to help it pop a little more from the layout.

And I couldn't go past using a pack of the Archival Boards to help embellish my page. Escape was a perfect fit for this layout. I do have to confess that I couldn't fit every piece on my layout though!!! These packs have a fantastic amount of chipboard in each. And this time around I decided to leave them white without any media for a lovely soft look to go with the crashing waves.

I have done a little stamping using the bubbles at the bottom of the  Sea Creatures stamp set.

And I have added lots of gorgeous Vintage Shades Cerise to my layout. Such a stunning colour this don't you think?

Well that is all from me today! Until I am here next happy scrapping!!

"Happy Moments" - 49andMarket Design Team - Cottage Life

Hello there lovely friends!
I am back with you today to share another project with you. My next project was created using the beautiful "Cottage Life" collection.
It is fast becoming a huge favourite with me. I am finding these papers truly amazing and so very versatile.
So without further ado I present my next project titled
......"Happy Moments".....

I used Provence as my background page and did some stenciling using Dusty Attic's newest release stencil "Chicken Wire". I also made some transparencies which I love to do using Gabi's newest two Stamp collections Sunshine and Herbacious. They are just gorgeous. Can't wait to use them again.!!! and again!!!

I also added in some of the gorgeous butterflies from the Vintage Artistry Flora and Fauna Cut Out Sheet.

Below you can see some of the transparencies I made with the stamp sets. I used Embossing Powders in a Vintage White to make this. I also did a lot of splatterings of White Ink and I have also coloured the background using some Rust Paste.

It was with huge excitement when I received a parcel two weeks ago with the latest Release of 49andMarket and Dusty Attic's chipboard collection packs. This is just one of many. They come in white and black and they do not need priming of any media. They can just be popped directly on to you page. They are awesome and some of the collections contain many of my old favourites and some of the newer ones too!!

You can see in the photo above that I have layered some of the chipboard Chicken Wire over the top of the stenciling to elongate the embellishment and also to add a little more dimension. The chipboard was also wiped over with a little more Rust Paste to continue with the texture of this. You can also see the chipboard branches ....they are just so cute! These were simply inked and they came up beautifully.

And of course I have used the new 49andMarket Blossom Blends in the Bluebell colour and also some of the Floral Mixology collection in the Mudslide colour. They worked beautifully together and I think really complimented the photo and layout.

Here you can see the layering of the Branching Out patterned paper. They were torn and sanded and distressed and then layered up with a little of the Burlap Trim.

And above you can see more of the cute little butterflies from the chipboard sheet. They are just adorable. They were inked and I also added a little Stardust Stickles to each to help them pop a little.

Here you can see the Dress My Craft Sequins that I have added to the clusters. They are a beautiful addition to any layout I think and add that little more added prettiness.

Oh and my girl. This photo was taken on holidays many years ago at Bundaberg on the beach. I remember sitting on the beach watching the sun go down and the kids were all digging sandcastles....... well all but Ash. She just simply wanted to dance around in the fresh air.
Well my friends that is all I have for you today. I hope you have enjoyed your visit here. I will be back tomorrow with my second layout that is a little beachy using of course the Sand and Sea collection.

Until tomorrow take care!

Hugs

"Dream" - Maja Design - Summertime Collection

Hello friends. Tina Ollett with you here today to share my newest Maja Designs creation. I have reverted back to a favourite collection this time around....... "Summertime". Petaloo are sponsoring Maja this month with their wonderful flowers...... thank you Petaloo !!

2017-09-12 Dream - Maja Design Creation - September 040

..............."Dream".............
Oh how I loved this collection I think I have already mentioned that but it definitely is a favourite for me. As always my layout evolved slowly and didn't finish off how I had imagined by I was quite happy with my end project. Below are all the papers I used from this collection. Some of the papers were gessoed to help with the effect I was looking for. I have used lots of media and paints to colour my papers and Dusty Attic chipboards.

I have used bucket loads of these gorgeous flowers for this project. Some of these are just so dainty and gorgeous they were crying out to be used.

2017-09-12 Dream - Maja Design Creation - September 080 (600x800)

My background papers was firstly primed with gesso and then I laid down a run of 3D Gloss gel and over that some very distressed muslin. This was my starting point and from here I layered my page with photo matting papers from the Summertime collection and then the sepia toned photo over the top.

2017-09-12 Dream - Maja Design Creation - September 032

Around my photo I used some beautiful Leafy Stem Dusty Attic chipboards. To the right of the photo I added in a Arch Window also from Dusty Attic. These were all dressed in Crackle Pastes, inks (Distress Inks) and Prima Art Alchemy Green Gold Acrylic Paint. You can see above that I also added in some Art Stones.

2017-09-12 Dream - Maja Design Creation - September 034

I did a little stamping with a Carte Postal stamp at the side of my photo and very randomly with a script stamp.

2017-09-12 Dream - Maja Design Creation - September 084

For my title I have used a very old rub on that I added to some transparency paper and cut out. I have the hugest collection of rub-ons that I just can't get enough of!!

2017-09-12 Dream - Maja Design Creation - September 085

You can see above that I also added some Texture Crackle Paste to my background page to help bring the project together. Lastly I went over my whole project dry brushing with white gesso to help keep this very muted and to of course keep the photo the centre of attention. This photo is of my youngest daughter which was taken by a friend at a school excursion a few years back now when she was only in prep. How time flies she is now a highschooler!!

Well that is all from me today. I so hope that you enjoyed my project and I hope to see you back here again very soon. Stay tuned for more design team prettiness tomorrow.

Take care and happy crafting!!Tina-sign

"Drink the wild air" - Maja Design Moodboard Inspired Creation - Dusty Attic

Well hello and welcome. I hope this blog post finds you well.
Today I have my newest project designed with Maja Designs September Moodboard. It is nothing short of spectacular. I of course love it. And what else to do with these colours but something with the beach! See below for the beautiful moodboard and some details about it.

You are free to interpret the mood boards in any way you’d like. They are supposed to set you in an inspirational mood without too much controlling. Be inspired by the poems, words and photos. They are not given rules, they are just there as inspiration. However – it is highly recommended you to follow the theme. Feel free to use any Maja papers as you’d like as long as they follow the colour scheme.
A winner will be picked and presented on the blog September 25th.

My interpretation of the moodboard was very simple. I followed the colour scheme and did something relating to the beach or outdoors. And this is what I came up with. I have titled this
"Drink the Wild Air".....

For this project I have used Maja Designs Denim and Friends collection. The papers I used are all listed below.

I decided to go with something a little bold this time and used the diagonal stripes on the b side of Pocket Square. This was cut in such a way that I could add a square of Indigo to the right side of the stripes and then use the remainder cut into strips and adhered to Indigo to give the page a little movement.

Snapshots
Stonewashed
Worn Indigo

I did some photo matting with Jeans T-shirt and Stonewashed. I also added in a couple of the frames from Snapshots on top of and around the photo matting to highlight my photo.

I have used some of the gorgeously new and one of my favourite collections of flowers thus far from 49andMarket. I have listed these further down the page for your convenience. Amongst these florals I added in some distressed pieces of natural burlap and some little and big shells collected from our beach.

I have used lots of Dusty Attic pieces to help with the embellishing of this project. These I have listed for you again below. I also used Finnibairs Texture Crackle Paste for most of my chipboards. Also my favourite thing to use at the moment is the Rust Effect Paste in brown. I have also thrown in some Art Stones as you can see above.

Lighthouse DA0007

Mini Seagulls DA1176

Ships Wheel DA1674

Mini Sailboat DA1034

Below is another list with some extras. The newest Stamp Set Gabi's Sunshine Stamp Set to be released from 49andMarket is a must have I think for every collection. I absolutely love the quote on this and have used a line from it for the title of my layout........"Drink the wild air"............

Gabi's Ethereal Stamp Set 4 x 6

I hope you have enjoyed my project and wish you a wonderful day.

Until next time take care xo
