" A New Baby" - The Scrapbook Store Design Team Creation - March

A huge welcome back to you!
It has been a while since I was here last unfortunately but life has its way of keeping us busy.
So for you today I have a very late first share for The Scrapbook Store.
This month I am playing with "It's A Boy" collection from Carta Bella. Now even though it is a boy collection I have decided to scrap something a little different....something with a little vintage style twist. The reason for this is that I have created this layout for my very beautiful friend who has become a Grandma again not so long ago. We got to looking at some baby photos of her newest grandie and this photo to me was just precious. So I kindly asked if I could use it ......thank you my gorgeous friend. I so hope you like this...x

I have titled this layout "A New Baby"
the quote continues:
"A new baby
is like the beginning of all things -
Wonder, Hope and
a dream of
possibilites"

I have kept the background very clean and concentrated on bringing the new release Dusty Attic Ornate Frame Chipboard the centre of the page to frame this gorgeous photo.

I cut the chipboard to sit and the top and bottom of the layout. The chipboard has been dressed in my usual gesso and ink treatment with some random stamping using Archival Ink in my favourite grey (Potting Mix). The frame was then crackled and inked once more to highlight areas of the frame.

The chipboard title "Baby" from Blue Fern Studios was run through a few sprays on my craft mat to get a worn look. I have wiped a little more gesso over the top and again crackled the title.

I also added in another favourite chipboard piece (Fancy Flourish) that I found floating around my table. It had already been cut in half and used for another project. I decided to extend the framework from the top and added this piece in underneath the frame.

My quote was printed on the Carta Bella paper using my inkjet printer. Sometimes because my rubons are very old they don't always work as was the case here. So I have simply typed the quote into word and printed it on a 4 x 6 piece and cut into strips, distressed and inked it and adhered around the layout.

And from another view......

And of course no layout is complete without a largish cluster.  I have arranged two cluster that meet somewhere in the middle.

Well that is all from me today. I so hope you have enjoyed this layout from me here.
For your use I have listed a full materials list below. Everything is available here at
The Scrapbook Store.
Wishing you a very beautiful day.
Until next time happy scrapping.
