"Endless Love" 49andMarket and Dusty Attic Design Team Creation

Hello friends!
I am back today to share with you my newest project using the beautiful Captured Adventures collection from 49andMarket along with their gorgeous flowers and laser cuts. also used the Dandelion Fields laser cuts and the additional cut outs page.

"Endless Love"

This project was inspired by the latest moodboard at Dusty Attic. I have it above for you to see. I went with the moodboards vintage nature of platinums and browns. And of course lace and sewing pieces. For some reason my go to photo for this was one of my tummy that my friend took when I was nearly due with my second child. As you can see I was busting at the seams. Pregnancy for me was always a most special 9 months. Because the photo was black and white it seemed easiest to use this photo and add colours to the background of Faded Memories.

Okay so maybe Faded Memories is a big favourite for me. I have used it several times over now, I just don't seem to tire of it. I did a lot of mixed media on this background starting with clear and white gesso's. I also added in some Inka Golds. Once my medias dried I cut a postcard from the second sheet of the Dandelion Fields, tore it and adhered it. I then went on to cover the Vintage Frame #2 chipboard frame in Liquid Pearls Platinum. This was cut to then fit a circle for my photo to sit in.

I also used some of the clocks from the second sheet of Dandelion Fields. Two of these clocks were framed with the Dusty Attic Decorative Scroll (small) chipboard to help make them pop on my page. The bottom half of the decorative scroll was dressed in liquid pearls and the top half inka gold (gold).

Vintage Frame #2

Mystic-Flourish

Decorative Scroll #1

The framework which you see around the photo was made using the garden vine. I took all of the leaves and flowers off and wiped it over with a chocolate paint and then the inka gold. You can see it again below.

And of course, some gorgeous 49andMarket florals were used to help embellish my page a little further. The centres of these flowers were coloured with the Inka Gold Gold and the smaller flowers from the Floral Mixology flowers were totally covered in the Inka Gold.

I also added in some pieces of lace and cheesecloth and more chipboards and a gorgeous little spoon I found in my collection. Perfectly fitting for this project I think.
Well that is all from me today. I do hope that I have inspired you in some small way today to create something for yourself this week. Take the time out for you! With that in mind take care and until next time happy crafting.

"My Sunshine" Maja Design and Dusty Attic DT creation

A very big welcome to my blog today.
Tina Ollett here with you today to share a project created recently showcasing three gorgeous patterned papers from differing collections and lots of yummy Dusty Attic chipboards and 49andMarket florals.

It is titled "My Sunshine" and was inspired by a photo taken down at Redcliffe whilst we were making a visit to see some friends for coffee and milkshakes.

This project was originally going to be very shabby chic until I come across this photo with the rustic rocks that my daughter was sitting upon for the photo. Once I spyed these, the project automatically changed up to a rustic grungy kind of project which I totally miss doing.

Vintage Summer - 1915

Vintage Romance - Deep in love bs

Monochromes Shades of Denim -  Off White
I started my project off by layering papers from Maja Design and then primed my background to fix it. Dusty Attic Texture paste was used throught the Threaded Bead Stencil to create a little texture going across my page following the stripes from the papers that I used.

My colours from these rocks can be seen within the Leafy Stem #5 that I have dressed with differing layers of mediums. Firstly Rust Paste in the browns and reds, and then some Dusty Attic acrylic's as listed below.

I love how the large seashell as seen above here turned out. It was dressed similarly to the leaves but less emphasis on the browns. They were placed on lastly to highlight the blue and orange tints.

I also coloured some of my pretty florals as you can see above . The Dusty Attic Acrylic Paints are fantastic for this. But ensure never to use too much and do several layers of coverage. A good quality paper flower will always allow for any mediums.

And a yummy view of the Swirly Frame that I used on this project.

It was cut into a few pieces before it was placed on my project to help frame my photo in a different way. This chipboard piece I have used many times over ( a sure favourite), but I always like to change the chipboard placement to give a different take on the piece.

Below I have made a full list of all the Dusty Attic pieces used for this project. Just click on the link below each chipboard design and it will take you directly to the website for more information.

"My wish for you" Art Playground June Play

Hello and welcome!
It has been a little while since I have been here. Life has definitely busy in the last few weeks with the Brisbane Scrapbooking Expo just finishing yesterday. But what a wonderful time I had. This project "My wish for you" was created for the Art Playground Blog June Play using this:

Isn't this just gorgeous?

So with this in hand I was about to start when my lovely friend Karen Arnold asked me to use a new product for her to demonstrate at this years Expo. I was so excited and in a few moments knew exactly what it was I wanted to do.

My starting point for this project was layering up of several differing papers from different Maja Design collections. I wanted everything to be very muted and shabby. As you can see above I have cut squares of different sizes, distressed and layered the each piece.

After all my paper layers were finished I added lots of my absolute favourite Dusty Attic Baroque frame set. These pieces were all dressed in white crackle paste and allowed to dry on their own. Once dry I added a little Nuvo Embellishment Mousse with my finger very randomly. All the frames were then cut into different pieces and added to the layers of my papers to complete the layering.

I then went on to colour my gorgeous range of 49andMarket flowers to co-ordinate with the papers. These flowers are of the highest quality and can withstand most medias on the market today. Adding medias also helps to mould the flowers into position. When they were dried I also added onto the edges and centres some Faber Castell Glass Bead Gel. This just makes the flowers pop even more.

Below are the flowers used for this project:

I have a few close-ups of the flower clusters for you below.

Above you can see the gorgeous Flutterbies #3. This flutterbie was torn in half and added to my flower clusters.

I also added in some gorgeous cheesecloth. This always soften a layout and helps with breaking up colours.

Well that is all from me today. I do hope you enjoyed seeing my June Play project for Art Playground. You still have time to enter a project using the moodboard above. Would love to see you enter your projects and give it a go!

Until next time happy crafting.
